Our Mission
The mission of The YES Foundation is to empower children to become self-sufficient adults and contributing members of society through the creation, incubation and dissemination of intervention models that provide resources, support and opportunities in the areas of Employment, Education and Enrichment. All programs supplement the traditional classroom experience.

History
The YES Foundation was founded in 1992 to help high school youth identify their skills, prepare for job interviews and broaden their horizons by locating jobs throughout the metropolitan Detroit area. Since then, we have expanded to include literacy programs in grades K3, and parental involvement activities. The YES Foundation's programs have been made possible through the financial and in-kind support of individuals, corporations and foundations.

Our Partners
YES programs involve families, schools and communities. They support academic and social development in an environmental context. Children, youth, parents, teachers, community organizations, local employers, volunteers and schools all benefit from their involvement and participation in our programs.

Our Volunteers
Each year, YES Foundation Volunteers deliver programs and services to more than 1,500 children and youth in the metropolitan Detroit area. Our volunteers are caring, committed adults who enjoy sharing their time and talent. They also receive many benefits, including:
Face-to-face involvement with young people
Training in program areas
Direct impact and enhancement of children's lives
Opportunity for personal growth
Recognition for commitment and service
